Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and the convention of discretionary funds in Pakistan

Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif says that till date I have not used discretionary fund. My discretionary fund, my salary, always went to Gulab Devi Hospital by the grace of Allah. Allah Almighty had given me everything since my childhood. And Alhamdulillah, many blessings were bestowed. So Allah Almighty never felt the need to go into these things. So, Allah has been very gracious in this regard and my conscience is still very satisfied in this matter. On the contrary, if you consider it a part of this tradition, you will see that I started the seven marla scheme when I was the Chief Minister and I also got the land mark for it. The plan for this I had given to Mr. Junejo, then you see that we arranged the distribution of these lands. Now in my time (1997 - 1999) that was my home scheme. It was such a huge scheme where the houses where the houses were being built were worth billions of rupees which were distributed among the poor. We have given agricultural lands to the farmers in Sindh. Today you should visit those farmers who were landless and today gold is growing on their lands by the grace of Allah. All those families are very happy. Wheat and cotton are growing there, there are green fields. When they did not even have shoes on their feet. And today, by the grace of Allah, they have become the owners of houses and lands. So this chain has become very wide by the grace of Allah. I think this is something that I should be proud of that Allah Almighty did this work with my own hands.
